2- Conduct high level studies and research works, namely in cooperation with national or foreign research centers or institutes. The results of these works are published in ENSEA College’s periodical, “Etudes et Recherches.” The subjects discussed are varied and focus mainly on economics, statistics, demography and the various aspects of the development process (environment, women and development).

International, governmental or private organisations are called upon to finance these activities.

VIII – THE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be a student at the 'Ecole Nationale Supérieur de Statistique et d'Economie Appliquée' (ENSEA), applicants must fill in, before the appointed deadline, an application file and pass the compulsory entrance tests.

A/ Direct Entrance Tests The “Ingénieurs Statisticiens Economistes” (ISE) Division Mathematics Option Applicants must have registered in special mathematics courses or in second year of a university first cycle in mathematics or have a ITS degree. The age limit to be accepted at the entrance test for an ISE student is 26 years old by January 1 of the academic year of the test.

No applicant can take the entrance test more than 3 times.

Economics Option Applicants must have registered in a fourth year of a Faculty of Economics or have a ITS degree. The age limit to be accepted at the entrance test for an ISE student is 26 years old by January 1 of the academic year of the test. No applicant can take the entrance test more than 3 times.

The “Ingénieurs des Travaux Statistiques” (ITS) Division Mathematics Option Applicants must have registered in special mathematics courses or in second year of a university first cycle in mathematics or have a AD degree. The age limit to be accepted at the entrance test for ITS student is 23 years old by January 1 of the academic year of the test. No applicant can take the entrance test more than 3 times.

Economics Option

Applicants must have registered in a second year of a Faculty of Economics or in preparatory courses for a business school or have a AD degree. The age limit to be accepted at the entrance test for the ITS student is 23 years old by January 1 of the academic year of the test.

No applicant can take the entrance test more than 3 times.

The “Adjoints Techniques de la Statistique” (AD) Division The applicants must have a C, D or E scientific Baccalaureat and be 22 years old at most.

The program of the test is that of the 13th grade of secondary and high schools.

The “Agents Techniques de la Statistique” (AT) Division The applicants must attend courses in a 13th grade of C, D or E scientific series of secondary and high schools and be 22 years old at most.

B/ Professional Entrance Tests Candidates applying to be AD Technicians must fulfill the seniority conditions as set forth by the Civil Service. The tests require as much professional knowledge as knowledge acquired in secondary schools.

Applicants for the direct or professional options take the same tests in the ISE and ITS divisions.

No dispensation regarding age is granted. That age limit can be extended to 35 for still active civil servants.
